New to RVing? You do not have to learn everything at once.

Buying an RV opens the door to a lot of adventures. It also gives you plenty to figure out: towing or driving, campground setup, water connections, electrical hookups, holding tanks and maintenance. When all of that is new, even a weekend trip can feel like a big undertaking.

That is who I created Ready Set RV! for. Our new app is designed to help new RVers learn the basics, practice useful skills and build confidence one step at a time.

What is Ready Set RV!?

Ready Set RV! is a learning and coaching app for people getting started with RV life. It is available through Studio and uses information about your RV, experience and travel style to create a personalized learning plan.

The goal is simple: help you understand your RV and develop routines you can use on real trips. Instead of trying to absorb every manual, video and piece of advice in one sitting, you work through manageable lessons and practice tasks.

Three clear steps to help you learn each day

The daily coaching centers on three actions: a short lesson, a practical task, and a confidence-building or safety step. Each has a purpose. Learn something, try it on your own RV, and build a habit you can carry into your next trip.

For example, learning about tire safety is more useful when you follow it with a hands-on tire check. A lesson about campground setup gives you a starting point for practicing your arrival routine. Small steps help turn unfamiliar equipment into something you understand.

Help with the parts of RVing that are new to you

The app includes interactive checklists for departure, arrival and setup, along with lessons and practice tasks for everyday RV skills. Topics include getting to know your RV, understanding its systems, preparing for a trip, leveling, backing practice and basic maintenance.

An AI coach lets you ask questions in plain language as you learn. Progress tracking helps you keep up with completed lessons and tasks, while trip and maintenance reminders support the routines you are building.

Use that guidance alongside your RV’s manuals and equipment instructions. When a task calls for a qualified technician or hands-on instruction, getting that help is part of learning to be a capable RV owner.

Start with your RV and your questions

You begin with an onboarding quiz about your RV, experience, travel style and concerns. That information helps shape your plan. A new travel trailer owner learning to tow may need a different starting point from someone getting used to a motorhome.

From there, follow the daily lessons, complete the practice tasks and ask questions when something is unclear. You can learn at your own pace and keep track of your progress.

Why I created it

Through Campfires and Motors, we share our family’s full-time travels and the lessons that come with life on the road. Ready Set RV! brings that focus on practical learning to people who are just getting started.

I want new RVers to have a clear next step, whether they are preparing for their first campground stay or still getting comfortable with their equipment. You do not need to be an expert before you begin. You do need a willingness to learn and practice.

If you are new to RVing, visit the app’s launch page to explore how it works and see the current pricing and signup details. If someone you know has just bought an RV, share it with them too.

What part of RVing feels most confusing right now? We would love to hear what you are learning and where you could use a little help.
