National Parks

Some of our favorite miles have ended at a national park.

National parks have taken us to mountains, deserts, wetlands, badlands and places we probably would never have seen if we had stayed close to home.

Our National Park Travels

We go for the scenery, but the best memories usually happen somewhere in between.

Some park visits are built around a hike. Others are about a scenic drive, wildlife, a historic site or simply sitting somewhere long enough to take in the view. Traveling by RV gives us the chance to spend more time in an area instead of racing through it.

We also know that visiting a national park with a truck and travel trailer takes a little more planning. Campground location, road restrictions, parking, weather, crowds and drive times can all change the experience. Those are the details we want to share along with the photos.

A Few Park Memories

Every park has given us something different.

Badlands, wildlife and wide-open scenery that made the drive through the park part of the experience.

Boardwalks, wetlands and old-growth forest gave us a completely different national park experience.

Trails & Hikes

Some of the views we remember most are the ones we had to work a little harder to reach.

Where You Camp Matters

The right campground can make a national park visit a lot easier.

Being close to the park can mean getting to a trailhead before the crowds. Staying farther away can mean a bigger site, full hookups or a campground that works better for the RV.

We share where we stayed because the campground is often one of the biggest decisions in an RV trip to a national park.

Watch the Adventure

See the park the way we experienced it.

Our videos show the drive in, the weather, the campground, the trails and all of the little moments that do not always make it into a written guide.
